Training for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Lectors

The parish will hold mandatory training for all Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHCs) and Lectors on Sunday, September 3, after the 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Masses.  We must re-certify all of our EMCHs through the Archdiocese of Taipei. The training will last about one hour.  Please let Kelly Matson (e-mail: maston05@hotmail.com) know if you cannot attend any of the sessions, but wish to continue or start in this ministry, and she will work directly with you.

First Holy Communion class will commence on September 10 at 11 a.m. (following the 10 a.m. Mass). The teacher will be Adrian Nolan. Please contact Adrian (e-mail: nolina@tas.edu.tw) if you want your child to be in the class. Children should be 8 years of age or older.

A Mother of God youth group is being formed.  The plan is for the group to meet once a month to have fun.  It is for ages 13 and up.  See Cecilia Pellandini for details.

For questions about Faith Formation classes, please contact David Sachse. Phone: 0972-732-269

The monthly Mass at St. Anne’s Home will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, in the 7th-floor chapel of St. Anne’s Home at 9:00 a.m. For more information, contact st.anne.home@msa.hinet.net or call 02-2871-4397.

Sept. Monthly Prayer Intention: That our parishes, animated by a missionary spirit, may be places where faith is communicated and charity is seen.

Our parish priest, Father Jan, is a Vincentian, and September is Vincentian Month. September 27 is the feast of St. Vincent de Paul, the founder of the Vincentians and the Daughters of Charity. We can remember him by increasing our efforts to serve our masters, the poor. Please look for poor people in our parish and tell Father Jan how we can charitably help them through our finances and our prayers.

Your parish priest,
Father Jan
